Board response is very fast at low speeds. Edge to edge it hooks quickly. Took a run or two to figure out, getting on and off lift and starting ascend. At higher speeds it becomes less aggressive edge to edge and more of an all mountain feel. Haven't rode it in powder yet. Love the light weight, and higher speed feel.

Very aggressive! Ultra responsive on high speed turns. Floats well through the deep stuff. Snaps out of turns great. Takes high speed chunder great.

This board is unbelievable to ride. It is as fast as you want it to be on everything put in front of it and it eats up all the chunder like its not even there. When it comes to ollie power, the Mega achieves sub-orbital trajectories and touches down with absolute ease. It tears through the powder and stomps deep landings like its hungry for more. I picked up the 157 Mega Merc and was so pleasantly surprised at how great this board is. I had mostly been riding Mervin boards over the past 10 years and after talking with a friend he convinced me to go with the Mega Merc or a SB Resort Twin, ended up picking the Mega. The board is fast, responsive, and lightweight just as it is described to be. At high speeds and carving the board is very composed and I don't really notice much chatter or edge hold uncertainty underfoot, (riding with Union Force Bindings). It is very snappy/powerful and you can feel this when you really get into turns and the board flexes and almost wants to pop you out as you exit a carve. In the park the board is very stable and predictable on jumps. If you like buttering, this board will take a little bit more work but is possible. Overall, highly recommend this as a resort ripping weapon, can pretty much handle anything you throw at it.
